Wild Card re-released the mod as a FREE DLC to everyone.
Since June 12, the LBZ Community has been growing at a great rate, and the population increase has taken a liking to the new map. Be sure to stop at those coloured totems (air drops) we have enhance loot in them
So that everyone has an opportunity to freely find caves, potentially moving into them, cave building has been disabled until Fri July 1 Time Target: 9AM Eastern, or 6AM Pacific. On that date you will be able to snag that location you scoped out previously.
With "caves" ranging in size from 2x2x2 to massive caverns 200x200x50 and bigger, there is the possibility to locate inside "special" features, (XP boosters) red 'ruins', rare loot drops, or rare creatures (examples Desmodis or Karkinos Aberration zone), and blocking off those areas while possible, is not permitted.
Building though, if space permits will be allowed. If you build in one of the larger, or special caves, your structure can not interfere with the respawn of an item, or interfere with other players getting to a location (such as; an active force field, buildings, gates, tames).
Some caves while small to medium sized; containing nothing special, will be able to be built in, and blocked off, should you choose
Question: "Can I build in a certain cave location" ?
Answer: a number of locations have been marked in game with a sign, an admin list has been premade of locations, unbiased of who is asking
Some locations are not marked on purpose because the sign would give away the location
Locations too big to block off from the community = No blocking, but building allowed
Location has special items, rare creatures = No blocking, building maybe, dependent on size of location
Location small to medium, nothing special or rare = Buildable and blocking optional
To keep the locations of caves a mystery for the community, and enjoy that feeling of
"ohhh, I wonder what's in there"
No public list of cave coords will be published on LBZ
DM one of the ARK Admin privately the coords to a location you are interested in
A private DM keeps the locations of caves a mystery for everyone
Plus if asked openly, then another person/tribe could rush there to lay claim, you've now shot yourself in the foot
Also NEW for the first time,
Fjordur has randomly placed buildings, or structures in caves that have a floor classified as foundation!
You won't need to place a foundation on the existing floor, ruining the look of the location
(Unknown how the decay timer will respect it. Hopefully Metal, or Tek)
These structures are unbreakable, so if you are bothered by wild creatures attacking your base, worry no more.
As you also know, Fjordur is part of the cluster, and travel to the other maps is possible.
A new restricted travel item exists (The Ruin Stone reward), similar to the Sarco Skin, TRex arm, rewards are not able to travel across maps.
What you may not know, is there are "Containers" and "Item Convertor" (Level 1 engrams) that allow you to package and travel with restricted items, and carry more than 'one-of' tributes.
Finally while on the topic of Engrams,
To ensure you are seeing all of the engrams, confirm none of engram filter icons are activated ( lit ) in the top right
